National level volleyball player Arunima Sinha, who lost a leg after being pushed off a moving train, was on Monday offered a government job by state Sports Minister Ayodhya Pal Singh. "The sports minister met Sonu on Monday morning and offered her a job in the Sports Directorate or the Sports College," said Deputy Director (Sports) Anil Banoda. He said Arunima and her family members have accepted the offer as the athlete wants to continue her association with sports.

A probe by the Government Railway Police has found loopholes in the version given by athlete Arunima Sinha, who lost her leg after being thrown out of a train by robbers in Bareilly.Dismissing the investigations, the 23-year-old national level football and volleyball player said she was being "mentally harassed" by the police. "The investigations point out that Arunima was disturbed and she either attempted suicide or met with an accident," said an official.
